March 2026 Rideou ***Saturday 14th***

This month’s ride would normally be on a Sunday but in honour of Mothering Sunday it has been brought forward a day to Saturday 14th March. Meeting at Greggs/Burger King, Par Drive, Chippenham, SN14 6UY, 0930 for a 0950 riders briefing, W3W ///flies.pinch.stops from there you will head off in a Sou Westerly direction, first stop for a leg stretch at the Esso garage. Bath Rd, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 1TN.

This will be a relaxed ride and is open to full members, associates, prospective associates. Guests by invitation and pre-agreement of the ride leader. We will be following our standard Drop-Off-Routine and riders are requested to familiarise yourself with the Guidance notes located at the Wiltshire Group website:

The route will be a mix of A and B roads with some urban stretches too. We will head west in te direction of Old Sodbury before turning south and threading our way between Bristol and Bath. We will be heading towards Chew Valley and the Mendip Hills. Then onto a 7 mile stretch of the B3135 (reputed to be one of England's finest driving roads) through Cheddar Gorge and onto lunch.

Our return route will take us back through Cheddar Gorge and west on the A366, through Farley Hungerford, Bradford on Avon, skirting the western side of Melksham and north to our end point in Chippenham. We aim to return to the end point by around 14.30.

That's handy; Garden centre almost next door to Helmet city.
